Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has described Good Friday as a day of profound reflection and solemnity, adding that he is reminded of the enduring spirit of the Lagos residents.
He said this in a post shared on his X handle on Friday, March 29.
It reads: “As we mark Good Friday, a day of profound reflection and solemnity, I am reminded of the enduring spirit of the people of Lagos.
“Today, we commemorate the ultimate sacrifice of love, forgiveness, and redemption. It is a day that calls us to pause, reflect, and cherish the values of compassion and empathy towards one another.
“In the midst of our reflections, let us also find the strength to look forward with hope. Good Friday teaches us about the power of resilience and the promise of renewal. It is a reminder that, even in the darkest of times, there is light on the horizon.
“To everyone observing this sacred day, may we all find peace and solace in its profound meaning, and may it inspire us to come together, support one another, and work towards a brighter, more inclusive Lagos.
