Zidora Aid Foundation Sponsors Football Competition in Anambra NYSC Camp

The Zidora Aid Foundation-ZAF, a non-governmental organization and the CSR organ of the Zidora Group, a multi faceted business chains, with major stake in Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, Oil and Gas, Courier services, Travels and Tours, among many other businesses, with offices in Lagos, Abuja and Anambra, today sponsored the Anambra NYSC camp football competition.

The competition which featured all corps members in the camp grouped in platoons;from platoon 1 to 10, was a huge success following the turnout of corps members most of whom came out to show support to their platoon.

Kick off

ZAF  which sponsored the competition provided the corps members with jerseys,footballs, as well as other football kits, for all the teams. It also provided rewards and consolation prizes for the winner and the 1st and 2nd runner up.

At the NYSC camp in Umunya Anambra state, the event kick started with a talk show in which the representative of the CEO of Zidora Group; Chief Dr. Arinze Madueke, spoke extensively on the vast opportunities that abound for Nigerians who desire to pursue their further studies outside Nigeria. Speaking he noted that although going outside Nigeria to pursue higher education is expensive, however, there are several opportunities which Nigerians desiring to study abroad can take full advantage of and in which the Zidora Consults, which is the arm of the Zidora Group dealing with travels and foreign education placements, is ever willing to assist.

The high point of the event was the announcement that Dr. Madueke has packages for corps members who graduated with 1st class, 2nd class upper, 2nd class lower and third class, and has intentions of travelling abroad for further studies, to live and to work.

Responding, Chief Madueke noted that the NYSC camp experience is always onerous and therefore such football competition which although has always been part of NYSC programs, however, needed to be boosted with the encouragement provided by his foundation as a way of getting the best out of it. Commenting on the special offer provided by the Zidora Consults for corps members wishing to travel abroad for studies, Madueke said that the most satisfying time for him are those times he is able to provide help, assistance or be the solution to people’s problem. According to the medical doctor turned entrepreneur, foreign education experience is something that is not just desirable, but absolutely needful especially because of the exposure and experience that comes with it, all of which are required to be able to live to the fullness of one’s dreams.
