Wizkid’s son, Champz makes history as his debut EP peaks No1 on Apple Music

Boluwatife Balogun, now known as Champz, the son of Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, has made a remarkable entry into the music scene, as his debut EP climbs to No. 1 on Apple Music.

We earlier that the young artist, following in his superstar father’s footsteps, released his first EP to rave reviews from fans and critics alike.

The 14-year-old surprised as he released his debut EP titled “Champion’s Arrival” today, November 11th, 2025. 

The project showcases Champz’s unique style, blending contemporary Afrobeats with youthful energy, and demonstrates that musical talent runs in the family.

Just hours after the release, Champion’s Arrival beats projects like Fola’s ‘Catharsis and Blaqbonez’s ‘No Excuses’ to sit at the peak of Apple Music NG Top Albums Chart.

This milestone marks Champz as one of the youngest Nigerian artists to hit the top spot on Apple Music, cementing his place in the country’s competitive music industry.

Fans have taken to social media to celebrate the historic achievement, praising both Champz’s talent and the mentorship of his father, Wizkid, in shaping the new generation of Nigerian artists.
