US President Biden Accuses Elon Musk And His ‘Rich Buddies Of Trying To Buy’ Election For Trump

Joe Biden, the United States president and Democratic Party nominee for the upcoming November 5 presidential election, has accused Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of SpaceX and Tesla of attempting to buy electoral victory for Donald Trump.

This accusation follows Musk’s recent pledge, reported by the Wall Street Journal, to contribute approximately $45 million each month to a new fund supporting Republican Trump’s presidential campaign.

Biden expressed strong disapproval, stating via his X handle (formerly Twitter), that he was “sick” of Elon Musk and other billionaires attempting to “buy” the November election for Trump.

“I’m sick of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election,” he said.

He called on Americans to support his campaign financially to counter Trump’s efforts.

The criticism comes amidst heightened political tensions as the election approaches.

Meanwhile, the White House announced on Wednesday that Biden had tested positive for COVID-19.

The diagnosis comes at a crucial time, as the 81-year-old Democrat faces mounting pressure from within his own party to reconsider his re-election campaign.

Musk’s public endorsement of Donald Trump, following an assassination attempt on Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, has further fueled controversy.

The endorsement aligns Musk with Trump’s reelection bid, adding another layer of complexity to an already contentious election season.

The upcoming election pits Trump against incumbent Biden, representing the Republican and Democratic parties respectively. It marks a significant rematch election in American history, intensifying the stakes and public scrutiny surrounding campaign finance and electoral integrity.
