Sanwo-Olu’s Aide Slams Tunde Ednut Over Claim Gov Purchased Grave In Advance At Ikoyi Cemetery
Gboyega Akosile, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, criticized media personality Tunde Ednut for a post claiming that the governor had bought a burial plot for himself at Ikoyi cemetery.
In the post shared on Instagram, Ednut asked his followers for their opinions.
The post stated: “What is your opinion? Is this a wise decision?
“It appears that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has made preparations for his eventual burial by securing a spot at the Ikoyi Cemetery.
“Despite being under 60 years old, the governor is already planning for the future and has selected a burial spot for himself at Ikoyi Cemetery.
“Peace Ighodalo, an accredited environmental scientist and facility manager, came across an empty vault at Ikoyi cemetery during a burial ceremony.
“The vault was marked with the inscription ‘Sanwo-Olu Empty Vault!’
In response, Akosile condemned the post as extremely irresponsible.
He stated that Ednut should learn how to conduct himself responsibly as a member of the media community.
Akosile urged the Instagram personality to show respect by removing the Governor’s photo from his post.
Akosile expressed his frustration in a post on a social media platform, questioning how Ednut could mistakenly assume that any mention of “Sanwo-Olu” refers exclusively to Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State.
“He should take the necessary steps by removing the Governor’s picture from his post. Not every mention of
‘Sanwo-Olu’ refers to the Governor of Lagos State. Using the Governor’s image in this context is simply irresponsible,” Akosile remarked.
