Rasheedat Ajibade joins Paris Saint-Germain on a four-year deal

Paris Saint-Germain have bolstered their attack with the signing of Nigerian international Rasheedat Ajibade.

 

The French club announced the move on Tuesday, confirming that the forward has signed a contract running until June 30, 2027.

 

“Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to welcome Nigerian striker Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade, who has committed to the club until 30th June 2027,” the club stated.

 

Ajibade, 25, was born on December 8, 1999, in the Mushin area of Lagos. She arrives from Atlético de Madrid, where she had been playing since 2021 following a stint in Norway with Avaldsnes IL. In the 2024–25 season, she featured in 25 matches, recording eight goals and three assists.

 

Recognised as Nigeria’s NFF Young Player of the Year in 2018 after rising through the ranks at FC Robo Queens, Ajibade has since become one of the country’s standout players. As captain of the Super Falcons, she has twice lifted the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations trophy—in 2018 and 2024.

She was also a key figure for Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2024 Paris Olympics, and with more than 30 caps to her name, remains a cornerstone of the national team.
