‘Our people deserve peace,’ Davido says as he celebrates 33rd birthday in the U.S.

Nigerian music superstar Davido has once again expressed concern for the situation back home, stressing that his heart remains with Nigerians despite being abroad.

The singer, who recently turned 33 and celebrated with a sold-out concert at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, posted a video from the event on Instagram on Saturday, appreciating fans for their birthday wishes.

He wrote, “ATL!!! Thank you for the birthday love — State Farm, three years in a row! But even as we celebrate, my heart is with home. Nigeria is going through too much… our people deserve peace. More life, more love, more change.”

His remarks come shortly after he voiced heartbreak over the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State, describing the incident as devastating and insisting that no family should face such tragedy.
