Nollywood Actor Ibrahim Chatta Bereaved as He Loses Son

Nollywood star Ibrahim Chatta is grieving the loss of his son.
The 54-year-old actor announced the sad news on his Instagram page on Saturday, without disclosing details surrounding the boy’s death.
Posting a photo of his late child, Chatta wrote: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”
The post drew an outpouring of condolences from colleagues and fans, many of whom expressed deep sympathy over his loss.
His bereavement comes just days after veteran actress Peju Ogunmola lost her only son, Ayomikun, who died in Ibadan earlier this week in his early 30s.
The back-to-back tragedies have thrown the Nollywood industry into mourning, with friends and admirers extending heartfelt messages of support to both families.

This is not the first time Chatta has experienced such pain. In June, he recalled losing his first child—a daughter—years ago, a tragedy he linked to financial hardship and lack of medical care. He revealed that he was forced to bury her in an old wooden Coca-Cola crate after being unable to afford a coffin.
