NELFUND Resumes Upkeep Payments to Students with Updated Bank Accounts

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has resumed the disbursement of upkeep payments to student beneficiaries who updated their bank details from digital wallet platforms to conventional commercial bank accounts.
This move marks a breakthrough in resolving previous delays in student upkeep payments. According to NELFUND, over 3,600 students who had earlier registered with digital-only banking platforms have now received their backlog of payments after switching to commercial bank accounts via the NELFUND portal.
The organization appreciated the patience and cooperation of affected students, emphasizing that their resilience helped make the progress possible.
For students still awaiting payment and using digital wallet accounts, NELFUND advises raising a support ticket through the official portal or reporting through their institution’s IT office. The IT departments are expected to compile and forward all related cases to NELFUND for prompt resolution.
“NELFUND is committed to ensuring that no eligible student is left behind. This resolution is part of our broader effort to enhance efficiency, transparency, and student-centered support,” said Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Strategic Communications at NELFUND.
