MOM Initiatives Takes Second Edition of Charity Outreach to Makoko Slum
MOM Initiatives, in collaboration with the team Making a Difference, conducted the second edition of their charity outreach event today in the Makoko slum of Lagos State. The event, which took place on a sunny Saturday, July 20th and brought together volunteers and community members for a day of support and generosity.
Mariam Mohammed, the convenor of the outreach, shared her thoughts with a correspondent from 9jaReporters. She emphasized the core philosophy of the initiative, stating, “Happiness doesn’t result from what we get but from what we give.” This sentiment guided the day’s activities as the team distributed essential supplies and provided much-needed support to the residents of Makoko.
