Modakeke-born Pastor Lawrence Oladele, Emerges National President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria

A Modakeke Akoraye son, Pastor Dr. Lawrence Oladele, a distinguished clergyman and seasoned administrator, has been elected as the National President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN).

The clergyman was elected as the national leader at the just concluded election held on Thursday, 6th of February, 2025. At the National Headquarters of the Church in Lagos.

According to the results of election as presented by the Chief Returning Officer, Pastor David Ajibade, Pastor Dr. Lawrence .O. Oladele from LAWNA Territory emerged as the new National President of the church with 388 votes, while Pastor Jude O. D Ekele came second having 196 votes.

Pastor E. U. Johnson, who is from Akwa Ibom was elected the vice president with 297 votes, defeatingPastor N.E. George who gathered 278 votes.

Delegates from other districts revealed and described the election as free and transparent.

Born on October 1, 1962, in Ife East Local Government, Osun State, Pastor Oladele’s journey in ministry spans over two decades. His rich educational background includes studies at institutions such as the University of Lagos, the University of Ibadan, and Ekiti State University, among others, earning multiple degrees in Business Administration, Theology, and Religious Studies.

His ministerial calling began on November 1, 1999, leading to his ordination as a pastor in 2002 and his appointment as an Apostle in 2008. Over the years, he has served in various leadership capacities, including as a District Apostle, Area Superintendent in multiple locations, and the 11th LAWNA Territorial Administrative Secretary.
