Lagos LG Poll: Police Adjust Movement Restriction from 6am–3pm

The Lagos State Police Command has revised the hours for vehicular and waterway movement restrictions ahead of the July 12, 2025, Local Government elections.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, announced that the restriction will now be enforced from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., instead of the previously scheduled 3:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Hundeyin explained that the adjustment was made to ease movement for residents with critical medical needs and those with international travel plans.
“To ease the challenges of residents facing medical emergencies and long-scheduled international travels, the restriction of vehicular movement has been adjusted to run from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, and not from 3:00 a.m. as earlier stated. We urge members of the public to adhere strictly to the new timing,” he stated.
Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, also reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ensuring a safe and orderly election process.
