Lagos State Govment don announce say dem go increase bus fare under dia Bus Reform Initiative Scheme by 18%.
Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) talk dis one for dia social media page on Thursday. Dem say dem no get choice as cost of running di buses don high, and dem wan make sure say transport still dey available for Lagos people.
Di new fare go start work from February 17, 2025.
For dia statement, dem talk say:
“Di increase na because cost of operation don rise, and we wan make sure say di buses no stop to dey run so dat una go fit move around Lagos without wahala. We beg una make una understand and cooperate.”
Make una remember say for June 30, 2022, LAMATA don first announce increase of ₦100 for all BRT routes. Dat time, dem talk say di increase na because diesel price don go up and many buses no fit work again because spare parts no dey.
Now, dem don add 18%
