President Bola Tinubu has decorated the recently appointed service chiefs with their new ranks at a brief ceremony held in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, was promoted from Lieutenant General to General. The Chief of Army Staff, Wahidi Shaibu, advanced from Major General to Lieutenant General, while the Chief of Naval Staff, Idi Abbas, was elevated from Rear Admiral to Vice Admiral.

Similarly, the Chief of Air Staff, Kelvin Aneke, was promoted from Air Vice Marshal to Air Marshal. The Chief of Defence Intelligence, Emmanuel Undiendeye, who was retained in his position, was also promoted from Major General to Lieutenant General.
