JUST IN: LASU Releases Schedule of Traffic Flow Ahead 27TH Convocation

The management of Lagos State University has released schedule of traffic flow ahead of the presentation of 27th convocation tomorrow and thursday . 9jaReporters confirm this via official memo released by the institution.

It reads below:

The School of Transport and Logistics hereby informs the university community and the general public of the *schedule of traffic flow for day 6 and day 7 of the 27th Convocation Ceremony of the Lagos State University*.

The events will hold on Wednesday, 5th, and Thursday, 6th June 2024, respectively. The schedule for vehicular movement for both days is as follows:

i. There will be no thoroughfare (no vehicle will be permitted) at the convocation ground, that is, from the Faculty of Management Sciences building complex to the old Students’ Affairs building junction opposite LASU Stores between *Wednesday, 5th and Thursday, 6th June 2024*.

ii. *Iba Gate will be closed to motorists for entry and exit movements *( between 7:00a.m and 4:00p.m*), and thereafter, *opened for exit movement only from 4:00p.m*(the only exceptions are: *Governor’s entourage, University Governing Council Members, the Obas and Special Dignitaries invited by the University Management).*

iii. All staff, students, University community and visitors coming from *Iba road* will enter the University through the *female hostel gate opposite PENAFORT filling station* and will utilise the car parks provided at *new Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS) building* and *frontage of new hostel behind STEM Education Centre*. The road will be cordoned off at the frontage of the FMS building complex.

iv. All staff, students, University community and visitors coming from *Miile 2* and *Okokomaiko* roads will enter the University through the *Badagry gate* and will utilise the car parks at the *Faculties of ARTS, SCIENCE and LAW as well as the Sports Centre*. The main road from Badagry gate will be cordoned off at the old Students’ Affairs building junction.

The university community and general public are enjoined to adhere to these important schedules in order to ensure the free flow of traffic.
