There was massive jubilation yesterday in Otakeme Community in Ogbia Local Government area of Bayelsa State. A deaf and dumb who was missing for many months just got found.

The 39 years old man Mr. Paul Eteke got missing when he joined others from the community to attend The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Programme at Mgbidi Town in Orlu Local Government Area IMO State early January this year. Specifically, on January 4th 2016 as the group were set to return home, they could not locate Mr. Paul. That was the beginning of the long wait.

The situation was complicated because of the condition of Mr. Paul. He was deaf and dumb and barely knows how to use the sign language.

Several visits were made to IMO State in search of him to no avail. Finally the Police and his family decided to publish his pictures in several places. They placed a ransom of N50,000 for anybody that can locate him or give useful information to his location.

On the 17th of August 2016, someone saw Mr. Paul in Orlu. Paul was all the while doing menial jobs. When the man confronted him with the picture Paul realized he was the one in the picture.

The man then called the numbers on the poster. When the news got to Otakeme community that Mr. Paul has been found, the whole community started rejoicing in anticipation of his homecoming.

Yesterday 18th August 2016 his compound Chief and two other relatives travelled to IMO State and brought him back. The youths of the town immediately carried Mr. Paul up and gyrated round the town.

Mr. Paul has a twin sister Paulina. She could not hide the joy in her face when she was reunited with her twin brother. The whole town has been thrown into jubilation ever since the arrival of the lost man.

This is really good news for the community. The Otakeme community is located few miles to the Oloibiri Oil Well 1.
