‘I will eliminate any terrorist who enters Port Harcourt’ — Asari-Dokubo

Former militant leader and Niger Delta activist Mujahid Asari-Dokubo has issued a stern warning to Boko Haram members, declaring that he will not hesitate to confront and eliminate any terrorist who attempts to operate in Port Harcourt.

In a viral video posted on Tuesday amid rising cases of killings and kidnappings nationwide, Asari-Dokubo said his identity as a Muslim would not prevent him from defending himself if attacked.

“If Boko Haram comes to Port Harcourt, you know my business is to kill them. I was in Zamfara killing them, in Plateau killing them, in Niger killing them. If they come to Port Harcourt, my business is to kill them,” he said.

“This thing I’m telling you is direct. I’m not like those who behave apologetically. I am a Muslim. If you come to fight me, I will kill you — there is no compromise.”

His remarks have reignited debate over his expanding role in security issues and his long-standing history of armed activity in the Niger Delta.
