I learn governance lessons from those who insult me – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday acknowledged that he draws governance lessons from media criticism, despite frequent attacks.

“Whatever I do, they’ll criticize me. But I read the papers and learn from their feedback—because I can’t see everything,” Tinubu said during a town hall meeting with political leaders in Benue State.

The president is visiting Benue amid recent deadly attacks by suspected herdsmen, which have claimed over 100 lives.

Addressing Governor Hyacinth Alia, Tinubu remarked, “Your political rivals don’t want you to succeed—surely, that’s no surprise?”

“We need one another. Let’s establish a leadership committee now to meet in Abuja and develop a lasting peace strategy. I’m ready to invest in that peace,” Tinubu stated.
