Hilda Baci to use 250 bags of rice in bid for world’s largest jollof pot

Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, has unveiled plans to cook what could become the world’s largest pot of jollof rice, stating that the attempt will require at least 250 bags of rice.
Baci, who gained global recognition in 2023 after breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon, shared the update in a video posted on Instagram on Monday. She explained that the specially designed pot for the challenge has a capacity of 22,619 litres, with a goal of filling it up to 75–80 per cent.
“To achieve this, I’ll need about 5,278 kilogrammes of raw basmati rice, which translates to 264 bags, but I’ve decided to go with 250,” she said.
