Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Adedayo Martin, popularly known as DeeOne, has urged Nigerians to support media personality Chinedu Ani, also known as Nedu, following his exit from The Honest Bunch podcast.

Nedu announced his departure from the show on Friday via Instagram, citing the need to protect his peace, family, and the integrity of the podcast amid growing public scrutiny.

His exit follows controversy surrounding a recent episode featuring comedian and reality TV star Deeone, who alleged that social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) was attracted to men.

In response, VDM accused Nedu of persistently requesting his appearance on the podcast since 2024 and allegedly offering to buy him a car as an incentive. He further claimed that Nedu had reached out multiple times, suggesting this was the reason behind the allegations made against him by Deeone.

Reacting to the development, DeeOne released a video on his Instagram page on Friday calling on prominent Nigerians, including former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Omoyele Sowore, as well as socialite Cubana Chief Priest, to come to Nedu’s aid.

He asserted that Nedu was innocent and going through a tough time and accused VDM of manipulating the truth.

“Nigerians, Nedu is going through a lot, he did not tell me to post anything, that man is innocent. I swear with everything in this life, Nedu did not tell me to post anything. Please, all good, well-meaning Nigerians, please! This is not content, this is real stuff. Peter Obi! Sowore! Obi Cubana! Cubana Chiefpriest! E Money! KCEE! Davido! Don Jazzy! All of you should come out, VDM lied, he lied!,” DeeOne said.

“Nedu did not tell me anything, he’s manipulating everything, Nedu is innocent, this is the same thing that happened to Mohbad, Nedu is innocent, don’t let this guy die! Don’t let this guy die! Seyi Tinubu, KWAM 1, please come to Nedu’s rescue, this is not content, this is real life. That man is going through a lot, please don’t let him die. VDM manipulated and lied against Nedu.”

Nedu’s departure has sparked discussions across social media, with fans and industry colleagues weighing in on the controversy surrounding the popular podcast.
