Former APC Presidential Aspirant Evicted From Abuja House Over Unpaid Rent (VIDEO)

Tunde Omosebi, a former All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant in the 2023 elections, has been evicted from his Abuja residence over allegations of unpaid rent.

In a viral video shared on X on November 15, court officials, backed by police, enforced the eviction at a high-end property in Abuja.

Speaking anonymously to Pulse Nigeria, the property’s owner claimed Omosebi’s tenancy ended four years ago. Attempts to recover outstanding payments were reportedly ignored, forcing legal intervention.

“I had to use his letter to file for eviction. He claimed ownership of the house but never appeared in court until the final judgment,” the landlord stated.

A letter dated June 30, 2022, attributed to Omosebi, had indicated his intent to vacate the property. The letter read: “Due to irreconcilable differences on your breach of agreements, we opt out of renewing our lease.” Despite this, Omosebi allegedly continued occupying the property.

When contacted, Omosebi denied all accusations, insisting he owned the property. However, he declined to provide further clarification, eventually hanging up on reporters and becoming unreachable.

The incident has sparked debates about accountability among public figures. Observers have highlighted the need for transparency and ethical behaviour, particularly for those in leadership positions.
