Fire: Sanwo-Olu closes Lagos Island market indefinitely

Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, April 11, announced the indefinite closure of the Docemu market in the Idumota area of Lagos.
On Tuesday, April 9, about 14 shops were affected due to a fire outbreak.
Sanwo-Olu, while speaking to newsmen, stated that the closure would provide the government time to come up with solutions.
He further stated: “This is an incident too often, condemnable and unacceptable because government resources are not meant to be wasted like this.”
