BREAKING: NYSC Announces Date for Commencement of Batch ‘C’ Stream I Orientation Course

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the schedule for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Orientation Course, approved by the Director-General. The program will take place across all states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as follows:

Commencement: Wednesday, November 27, 2024

Registration Period: Wednesday, November 27 – Friday, November 29, 2024
Cut-off for Registration: Midnight, Friday, November 29, 2024
Swearing-In Ceremony:Friday, November 29, 2024
Closing Ceremony: Tuesday, December 17, 2024

The orientation course, a key part of the NYSC program, includes activities aimed at preparing corps members for national service. These range from paramilitary drills and skill acquisition programs to community integration and leadership training.

The NYSC has directed all departments, units, area offices, and state/FCT secretariats to take necessary actions to ensure the successful conduct of the exercise.

Prospective corps members are advised to check their call-up letters and report to their designated orientation camps on time. The NYSC also urges participants to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations guiding the orientation course.
