Atiku-Obi Ticket Leads Online Poll Ahead of 2027 Presidential Election

A joint presidential ticket featuring Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi is currently leading an online poll on X (formerly Twitter), sparking renewed discussions about the 2027 general elections.
The poll, created by user Omotayo Williams on Monday night, asks: “Who will you vote for?” and offers four options — Atiku + Obi (ADC), Obi + Datti (LP), Tinubu + Shettima, and Obi + any VP (PDP). As of press time, the poll had recorded 4,642 votes.
The Atiku-Obi ticket, running under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), leads with 2,536 votes, while the Obi-Datti Labour Party option trails with 1,105 votes. The Obi + any VP (PDP) combination received 870 votes, and Tinubu + Shettima lags behind with just 131 votes.
The poll reflects growing public interest in a possible opposition merger, as discussions continue over efforts to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027. Both Atiku and Obi, former presidential candidates in 2023 under different parties, have reportedly aligned with the ADC coalition to mount a united front.
