Even if I made mistakes, it is your duty to fight for me’: Pastor Chris Okafor tells church members amid scandal with Doris Ogala
Founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor has made an emotional appeal to his church members, urging them to stand firmly by him amid the ongoing controversy involving Nollywood actress Doris Ogala.
In a video currently circulating online, Pastor Okafor was seen addressing his congregation passionately, stressing the importance of loyalty and mutual protection within the church.
According to him, support should be reciprocal, especially during difficult times.
If I cover your sins, you ought to reciprocate. You do for me, I’ll do for you too,” the pastor said, drawing loud reactions from members present.
He went further to suggest that defending a spiritual leader during moments of crisis is part of the responsibility of church members.
He added, “If I made mistakes, is it not your duty to fight for me?”, a statement that has since sparked mixed reactions across social media, with many debating the boundaries between spiritual leadership, accountability, and loyalty.

The appeal comes amid heightened public attention following allegations and counter-allegations involving actress Doris Ogala, which have kept the pastor in the headlines in recent weeks.
Recall that Doris Ogala had earlier taken to social media to accuse Pastor Chris Okafor of having an intimate relationship with her in the past.
She claimed they were involved romantically and alleged that she had undergone an abortion for him. The actress also reacted strongly to news of the pastor’s impending marriage, expressing anger, heartbreak, and disappointment.
Despite the emotional outburst and threats from the actress, Pastor Chris went ahead and tied the knot with his woman in a grand ceremony.
While Pastor Okafor did not directly mention Ogala in the video, his comments were widely interpreted as a response to the ongoing scandal and the backlash surrounding it.
Social media users have since been divided, with some backing the pastor and calling for internal resolution, while others insist that religious leaders should be held to the same standards of accountability as anyone else.
