Bandits Demand N300m Ransom for 10 Abducted Kwara Villagers, Issue 7-Day Death Threat

Armed bandits who stormed Isapa community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on 25 November 2025 and kidnapped 10 residents have given the village a one-week ultimatum to pay a N300 million ransom or face mass killings.

The gunmen, who initially demanded N500 million, reduced the amount to N300 million after negotiations but rejected the community’s plea to accept N5 million.

Community leader Mr Adeyeye confirmed the threat to journalists on Wednesday, revealing that the kidnappers issued the ultimatum in a phone call on Sunday.

“They gave us just one week to produce the money, warning that if we fail, they will kill all the 10 people in their custody and return to the village to kill many more residents.”
