Dangote Refinery to Begin Free Fuel Distribution Monday

The Dangote Refinery will commence its free fuel distribution programme on Monday.

 

According to a statement by Dangote Group spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, the scheme will initially cover Lagos, the South-West, Abuja, Kwara, Delta, Rivers, and Edo States.

 

Chiejina also disclosed that petrol prices would be reduced to ₦841 per litre in Lagos and the South-West, and ₦851 per litre in Abuja, Edo, Kwara, Rivers, and Delta States.

 

“The free fuel distribution begins on Monday, starting with Lagos, the South-West, Abuja, Kwara, Delta, Rivers, and Edo States. Prices will drop simultaneously with the launch,” the statement read.

The scheme, earlier scheduled for August, was delayed due to logistics issues in China. Over 1,000 trucks have now been delivered to the refinery in preparation for the rollout.

More states are expected to benefit as additional trucks arrive in the country. The company noted that its large-scale rollout of CNG-powered trucks is aimed at strengthening logistics and cutting costs across the distribution chain.

 

“Even though CNG prices doubled last week, our plan to deploy 10,000 CNG trucks this year remains on course,” Dangote added.
