2025 WASSCE: WAEC Resolves Technical Glitch, Set to Release Updated Results

The Federal Ministry of Education has confirmed the resolution of a technical issue that impacted the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.

According to the Ministry, the glitch occurred during the post-release processing of results in subjects where paper serialisation was applied as part of WAEC’s exam security protocols.

In a statement released on Thursday by the Ministry’s Director of Press, Folasade Boriowo, the Ministry praised the West African Examinations Council for its prompt action, transparency, and professionalism in addressing the issue. It also announced that updated results will be available on the result checker portal within the next 24 hours.

The Ministry further expressed appreciation for the patience of affected candidates and reaffirmed its commitment to upholding fairness and credibility in the nation’s assessment systems.
